| 1 | TENZING NORGAY National Adventure Award | The felicitation is done by conferring TENZING NORGAY National Adventure Award for the remarkable performance in any adventure sports event on the land, in the air and in the sea. Each awardee is felicitated with a cash prize of Rs.5.00 lakh and a decorative memento. This award is equivalent to the ARJUN AWARD and are conferred at the RASHTRAPATI BHAVAN every year in the month of august along with ARJUN AWARDS. Recommendations of the names of adventurous players for these awards are submitted to central government along with the recommendation of the state sports department. | 2 | National Youth Award | The youths in the age group of 15 to 29 and an organizations engaged in the social work at the National level related to the youth welfare activities are felicitated by conferring awards through Central Government. Every year these awards are given to 25 youths and 10 organizations. The amount of award is Rs. 50,000 / - per individual person and Rs. 2.00 lakh per organization. It is necessary that the organization considered for award should be registered under the society’s registration act 1860. Recommendations of youths and organizations for these awards are submitted to Central Government along with the recommendation of the State Sports Department.
